John Gjertsen Awarded CFA Charter

New Bern, NC (September 2, 2011) John Gjertsen, wealth planner at D.L. Blain & Co., has been awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst^® (CFA^®) designation by the CFA Institute. The CFA Charter is the only globally recognized credential for investment analysis and management. In addition to the CFA Charter, John holds the Certified Financial Planner^™ (CFP^®) and Enrolled Agent designations from the College for Financial Planning and the Internal Revenue Service respectively.

CFA Institute is the global association for investment professionals and administers the CFA and CIPM curriculum and exam programs worldwide. It publishes research, conducts professional development programs and sets voluntary, ethics-based professional and performance-reporting standards for the investment industry. CFA Institute has awarded the CFA Charter to over 90,000 Institute members (including more than 900 CFA NC Society members) in 135 countries and territories.
