Tom Adams, CPA/PFS Joins D. L. Blain & Co. in New Bern

D.L. Blain & Co. is pleased to announce that Thomas B. Adams, CPA/PFS, has joined the firm as wealth planner. In his new position, Tom will be responsible for managing existing client relationships, formulating and implementing comprehensive wealth planning advice, and helping develop new client relationships.

Tom began his financial planning career in 2004 at Mentor Capital Management, Elmhurst, Illinois. In 2010, he started his own firm, Adams Financial Planning LLC, in Downers Grove, Illinois. Prior to Mentor Capital Management, Tom spent 21 years in accounting and financial analysis with several leading companies including Aon Corporation, Automated Data Processing (ADP), Georgia-Pacific and Ernst & Young.

Tom graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Alabama in 1983. He received his CPA license and Professional Financial Specialist (PFS) designation from the American Institute of CPAs in 1986 and 2010 respectively. Tom is currently working toward his Certified Financial Planner^™ (CFP^®) designation from the College for Financial Planning.
